Ok, so we’re talking lush lashes and last post was about achieving the look with fake lashes. Today, we are moving on to option #2, Latisse.

Option # 2: Latisse

Latisse is new on the market and I see ads for it everywhere I go. Having Brooke Shields as the celeb poster girl helps a bit too. So here’s the skinny on Latisse; According to the website, “LATISSEĀ® solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes) used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker.”

Upside: With 78% of patients experiencing a significant increase in length, fullness, and darkness after week 16*, you are bound to see results. The results are natural and the improvement is visible.

Downside: Once you stop using Latisse, you can kiss those lashes you’ve spent the last 16 weeks growing goodbye. This is definitely an issue for those on a budget, as Latisse can run up to $150 a box, with two boxes needed to achieve full results. As with any prescription there are side effects - the most common is itching and redness. Beauty is pain ladies!!
