It’s Sunday, 8am, and you wake up dying of thirst and feeling like a freight train is running through your head. You get up, catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror and recoil after seeing the state of your face. Puffy, swollen eyes and blotchy skin - is there an antidote? Well, yes there is! Shiseido’s got you covered, literally.

Take a shower, robe up, and get ready to experience something so relaxing and refreshing, you’ll forget about how you felt earlier and the mistakes you made last night. Shiseido’s Pure Retinol Intensive Revitalizing Face Mask ($62 for a pack of 4 at Macys) is an amazing picker-upper. This mask is “A concentrated treatment sheet mask that encourages skin’s natural recovery function and provides a rich infusion of moisture to help improve texture. (It) Restores youthful suppleness and radiance with a single application.”*

Position the lower mask around your mouth first, and then position the upper piece around the eyes. Leave on for 15 minutes. This stuff seriously feels so good; you’ll wish it was a second skin. The cool, soothing feel of the damp mask infused with tons of extracts and amino acids lulls me right off to la-la land. When the 15 minutes are up, smooth the remainder of the liquid into the skin using gentle massing motions.

A Shiseido Account Executive told me she literally refers to it as “the only face lift you can get in a package.” Ummmm, understatement. One look at my face tells me I won’t be needing a doctor or a needle any time soon. It’s got me thinking… If the mask can erase the toll last night took on my face, can it also erase the bad decisions? Something tells me I’m not so lucky…
