In the words of one certain great hip hop artist by the name of Lil’ Mama, “My lip gloss is poppin’. My lip gloss is cool. The boys do indeed, keep stoppin’.” These words are taken directly from the lyrics of one of my personal anthems, Lil’ Mama’s Lip Gloss song. The song echoes loudly the idea that lip gloss in any beauty situation, whether you’re the lip gloss wear-er or accidental receiver, never disappoints. Unless you’re dealing with lip gloss pots.
Lip gloss in pot form is a complete tragedy. Lip gloss pots tend to be much more cuter than their tube counterparts, but I’m always so apprehensive about them. My apprehensiveness stems from the issue of sanitation — is it really sanitary to stick your fingers into a pot at any given lip-gloss needing moment? I’ve witnessed many women do this. Lip gloss brushes that tend to accompany lip gloss pots only seem like an added inconvenience. Personally, if left on my own to deal with a lip gloss pot, I’d have to repeatedly wash my hands before and after lip gloss use. Who has time for that?
This goes without saying that I am pretty much a lip gloss tube person. When it comes to lip gloss, what do you prefer using? The lip gloss pot or tube? Also, how sanitary do you think lip gloss pots are?
