I am in love with this lip conditioner!
I have really dry lips, and nothing really seems to work on me. I have tried Chapstick, Carmex and Soft Lips and they just don’t do the job. Usually when I wear lipstick or lipgloss, I get that nasty white stuff that you get on the corner of your lips from wearing it for a while… Well thanks to Avon’s Lip Conditioner, I don’t have to worry about that anymore. It says: In 2 weeks- reduces lip lines by 19%, increases plumping by 24%, has SPF 15 with double Retinol, and moisturizes for 24 hrs. More »

By now, you must have heard that Tim Burton is releasing an Alice in Wonderland film this spring (check out the trailer below!). The film has certainly received a lot of hype so far, and it stars Tim Burton’s favorite actor, Johnny Depp, as the Mad Hatter. I wouldn’t recommend trying to get Johnny’s makeup look from this movie, but a few beauty companies are celebrating the film with limited-edition collections. More »

Problem skin? There’s nothing worse than having skin that always feels oily. Unless it’s breaking out non-stop. Speaking as someone who never really grew out getting those problem pimples, I’ve tried pretty much everything when it comes to face wash, and while some cleared up my skin for a short while, none were reliable in the long-run. Until I discovered Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. More »

We’re crushed over the news of actress Brittany Murphy’s passing. Aside from being a talented actress, she also possessed a beauty that evolved dramatically over the years. Each year she became a more beautiful woman. Such is not the case for most of us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brittany Murphy and her family. More »

It’s pretty awesome, this thing. No wonder it was sold out from Sephora.com for the longest time! When I got to purchase it, I was so excited because it helped me solve a lot of problems!
You don’t understand, this is like a godsend. As a beginner with makeup, my hands are a little shaky when applying eyeliner, and my eyelids tend to flutter because they’re not used to having makeup applied to them. So then when my eyeliner looked all messed up, I would have to grab a q-tip, soak it with makeup remover, and somehow, carefully get rid of just the messed up parts. Gosh, not so fun. More »

I am completely and totally inept when it comes to styling my hair. My routine goes as follows: wash, dry upside-down and pray for volume, maybe hit a few strands with the curling iron if I have time. You won’t find me with any fancy up-dos, because I’m terrible at creating them. A quick solution to make your look a little more special for the holidays is a headband or fun clip, like these from Jennifer Behr. More »

It’s that time of the year again… people are packing their bags and heading home for the holidays or jetting off somewhere fun for New Years. It seems like there is no better time than now to take a refreshing break. But, as I am sure you all well know, traveling during the holidays can be quite a mess (security, lost luggage, dreadful delays) and can put a serious damper on your holiday cheer and your crazy fly-away hairs… ergo, Keratin Complex’s Travel Mini Flat Iron, the most adorable on-the-go travel tool that you can always rely on. Pop star Beyonce is jumping on the fragrance bandwagon and releasing her first scent, Beyonce Heat, in February. She did an exclusive interview with WWD in which she talks about the long process that goes into finalizing a perfume. She says that she wore the scent while she was on tour, and got compliments from fans at meet-and-greet sessions on it. I don’t know about you, but I’d be afraid that if I told B that she smelled good that her bodyguards would kick my butt out of there. More »

I, for one, loved reading the recent post, Quick Fix for Dry Skin because I also have dry skin in wintertime. So I figured I would blog about one of my favorite products in this department. LaLicious‘ newest addition is Sugar Kiss Body Oil. More »

From Girlybubble: It’s not often when someone makes a pact to paint a different design on their nails every day for a year. And when a pact like that is made, it’s just awesome. The author of The Daily Nail put herself to “The Challenge” and here’s what she had to say: More »

Between the weather and the stress during the holidays, my skin starts to feel in need of a little rejuvenation. After buying all of those gifts though, my bank account can’t exactly handle a fancy spa facial, and I’m a little hesitant to subject my face to a harsh chemical peel. My solution? The Philosophy Microdelivery Peel. More »

Back in April, French Elle magazine made the news by featuring actresses, such as Monica Bellucci, on the cover without makeup and without re-touching. Since then, Europe has fallen into an anti-Photoshop tizzy. The latest gripe that British officials have is over an Olay Definity advertisement featuring Twiggy, the 1960s model icon. More »

Pinched cheeks are making their way from runway to the streets. The look of fresh, youthful tinted cheeks is one of the top beauty trends for Spring/Summer 2010.
Tarte makes a gel water-based “Cheek Flush”, that is oil-free and alcohol-free too. You get a delicious choice of eight beautiful colors. The “Blissful”, (a peachy pink tint available only at sephora.com) is one of my favorite makeup staples for skin that just needs a sheer pinch of color. This color works great on most skin tones, but if you want more color, “Blushing Bride”, (a sheer deep plum shade) will do the job. More »

Yesterday, American Apparel announced that they will launch a nail polish line that will sell alongside the glorious racks of cotton and spandex in their retail stores. Like everything at American Apparel, the polishes will be made entirely in the USA. As an added bonus, it will also be DBP, toluene and formaldehyde-free. There will be 18 colors to choose from initially, and if you’ve ever wondered how companies come up with nail polish names, wonder no longer. More »
