Ladies, year after year we stay pretty complacent in our beauty routines. We tend to always buy the same stuff and wear it the same way. Well, what if we did things just a little different?

We all know that the first step to flawless skin is a good skincare system. Skincare is a sore subject with most because some of us tend to forget to even wash the make-up off our faces at night, which can cause a whole host of other problems.

How can we revamp our skincare routine?

Pick your target: Dry skin, dull skin and some breakouts.
Interrogate yourself: Is the moisturizer I’m using enough to keep my skin hydrated in the right places? Am I drinking enough water everyday? If the answer is no, then what else can you do? How do I avoid breakouts on those odd times in the month?

Get the answers and start revamping your skincare routine:

The moisturizer you are currently using may be enough during the day, but is it enough at night? Answer: Continue to use your daily moisturizer, make sure you also use one with an SPF.
If the moisturizer you currently use doesn’t have one, buy one separately.

Is drinking water enough?
Answer: Why not try a facial spritz too to keep the skin refreshed throughout the day!

How do I avoid these breakouts?
Answer: Keep your skin in perfect balance. Some folks use toners, but most cleansers we use have this already built in. Using a toner can shock treat your skin, causing you to have imbalance.

Why is my skin always still so dry around my nose, forehead and cheeks?
Answer: You may need to switch to a cleanser that is more milk based, so it doesn’t strip your skin of natural oils you need to maintain hydration.

Find out what the pro’s use:

My favorite face pick me up is “Minerals in the Mist”, by Youngblood Cosmetics. It’s a vitamin packed facial spray that keeps the skin refreshed.

Lip scrubbers are a staple in my kit. Prepping the skin of a model or celebrity needs to be effortless and effective. The lip scrubs ensure the lips are smooth as a baby’s bottom.

Facial exfoliators are something I carry in my skincare kit for clients who have dryness around certain areas, and it really works. Imagine if you did this once a week.

New brands to try in 2010:

Luxural - A favorite amongst celebrities. Made from pacific rain water, this skincare brand fuses nature and technology together. Actress Angelina Jolie uses them!
