Looking in the mirror today, I have realized that I’m in dire need of something for my eyebrows. I keep catching glimpses of little stray hairs below my brow line, and they have gradually lost shape. Getting my eyebrows done is one of those things that I always think I’ve done recently when really it was five months ago, and it’s definitely time! My only problem is that I’m not sure how I want to get them done this time. Suggestions anyone?
Plucking — I pretty much hate plucking because it hurts, and my sensitive skin sometimes bleeds after (ow!). I don’t have really bushy eyebrows, so I usually don’t require too much plucking in between having them done either.
Waxing — I think waxing is virtually painless, but I’ve yet to find a great place to go that doesn’t cost a ton! I like to have them done at the Benefit counter at Bloomingdales, but it costs over $20! Not frugalista friendly at all!
Threading — The first time I had my eyebrows threaded, I was terrified. That ripping noise is so not comforting, and it sort of burns a little bit. I was, however, very pleased with the results.
What is your preferred means of eyebrow hair removal? I think waxing wins in my book, but I’ve got to find a place with a better price that does a good job. Any tricks to keep them looking good for longer? I was thinking about this Eyebrow Toolbox by Tarte that’s on sale for $18 at Sephora! Let me know so that I can tame these bad boys!
