Milani to Make Avatar-Inspired 3D Makeup

The other day we reported that Avatar star Zoe Saldana is the new face of Avon. But now it seems that her actual character in Avatar could do a little modeling herself. Milani is actually coming out with a line of Avatar-inspired 3D makeup. And yup, you guessed it, it’s all going to be blue.

Milani is known for their super inexpensive, but not too shabby line of makeup, and I have a feeling they’re about to become even more well-known. What other cosmetic companies will be coming out with a line of Avatar-inspired makeup? In 3D? Probably only Milani.

It’s actually not as horrible of an idea as you might think. After all, bright makeup is pretty trendy right now and Milani’s new line is going to be all about the bright blues. Obviously.

And the 3D part? Well, that actually sounds really cool. The makeup will have holographic and light-reflecting qualities that will actually make it look 3D. Which likely means it will make your features pop. Could this be the next big thing in makeup?

The Avatar-inspired 3D makeup will include nail polish, eye shadow, and lip gloss. We’ll have to wait until February 1 to see how it works, but the makeup will only cost between $4.49 to $6.49, so it’s definitely worth a try. Will the 3D effects be highly noticeable?
