Taking a bath is a relaxing way to unwind, and you should treat yourself to one every so often. In addition to relieving stress, baths can also do wonders for your skin.

You can do so many things with lavender essential oil, which is why I always have it in my bathroom. It’s gentle on your skin, and the scent is pure bliss. You can add five to ten drops to your warm bath water, and it will calm your body and mind. Lavender has several properties…it can promote healing and relaxation and reduce redness and irritation.

Bath salts are also a great addition to a bath, because they naturally draw out impurities from your skin as well as stimulate the lymphatic system. So if your skin is feeling oily, use salts in your bath to draw out those toxins. Look for ones with tea tree or peppermint essential oil. There are even bath salts designed to relieve PMS symptoms!
