We all know the health benefits of fruits and vegetables in our diets, but how do they benefit us in our beauty products? What about various fruity scented beauty products, do we like the way they smell? Which scents smell the best?

Various fruits do contain plenty of essential vitamins and certain ones produce healthy amounts of antioxidants, which are good for the body. Real fruit can also used to make all-natural skincare masks too.

Here is a quick and easy recipe to use to make your very own fruit facial mask:
Peach Facial

Ingredients:

1 medium peach
1 tablespoon of honey
oatmeal (as needed)

Take the peach and cook it until it is soft. Mash the cooked peach using a fork. Next, add the honey and enough oatmeal until the mixture is thick. Apply the mask to the skin and let it sit on the skin for about ten minutes. Rinse off the peach facial masque with cool clean water.

These beauty products contain fruit or vegetable ingredients in them:

- Kiri, “Kiwi Fruit Body Lotion” is made with Kiwi Seed Oil and Kiwi Fruit Extract. Kiwi seed oil has been described as the vegetarian alternative to fish oils. The essential fatty acids aid in the regeneration of damaged skin cells.

- Philosophy, “Kiss Me Exfoliating Lip Scrub” is made with mango fruit extracts, an antioxidant that is often used in shampoo and some facial masks. Mango is known to be extremely high in Vitamins A and C, too.

- Tarte, “Double Dose Berry Boost & Gloss” contains the Tarte t5 super fruit complex, which is a proprietary blend of the five most active fruit ingredients: goji, acai, maracuja, acerola and pomegrante.

- Lorac Cosmetics, “Maui Wowie Full Face Kit” contains both cucumber and lemon extract. The cucumber extract is a soothing agent to skin, meanwhile the lemon extract works as a natural purifier.

I asked a few folks on Facebook if they preferred cherry scented lip balm to strawberry scented lip balm, here are the results:

Malcolm from Texas says he loves strawberry scented lips on his girlfriend.

Brooks from Atlanta is a cherry flavored fan herself.

Katie in Alexandria, VA says “Cherry all the way. Strawberry is too sweet and I end up licking it off…then I get chapped lips.”

Michon in Washington DC says Cherry, no question.

Christopher from Maryland says strawberry is his favorite scent. Hear that girls? Another male who loves strawberry scented lips!

Bobby in Springfield, VA said pork scented was his favorite. He obviously doesn’t care for fruit scented lips. I don’t think he has a girlfriend.
