The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards has come to a close, and this year provided us with some pretty great entertainment, as usual. While I always anticipate the great looks and beautiful dresses of Grammy night, I have to say that I was really looking forward to seeing what Lady Gaga would turn out in this evening. Here’s a recap of her looks from her successful (2 awards!) evening.

Red Carpet – It’s been buzzing that Armani Prive designed all of Gaga’s looks from this evening, which started with this crazy, sculptural dress that looks like it is covered in clear, glittery plastic tubing. She also carried a spiky silver star for some reason, and wore an insane pair of rhinestone heels. The makeup is sort of bordering on “tranny”, in my opinion. Granted, she always has dramatic makeup, but the dramatic eye makeup with the bright pink lipstick is making her look sort of plastic-y.

Performance Outfit – The Lady opened the Grammy ceremony with an over-the-top, theatrical performance as usual. After being tossed down a fiery “Reject” shoot by a dancer, Gaga reappeared at a double-ended piano with Sir Elton John himself! They performed a little medley of “Speechless” and “Your Song” which was fabulous. Gaga wore an aqua-colored sequined bodysuit with built-up shoulders. Around her eyes, she wore another version of those glitter patches that she wore while meeting the Queen last year. I also found it hilarious that both Gaga and Elton wore glittery sunglasses AND ashes all over their faces.

Post-Performance –Gaga’s last outfit involves lots of silver and glitter, an origami-esque headpiece and more pink eyepatches. It’s pretty insane. The guy she’s sitting with is her dad, and I wonder what he’s thinking about her outfit.

Here’s another shot, sans eye patches and with teacup and Celine Dion! Such a random photo, but Gaga doesn’t look nearly as scary without those eye patches. I don’t know if they are sunglasses or what, but they are a little harsh.

What was your favorite Gaga look from tonight? Any favorite looks in general?
