Rimmel London is celebrating 10 years in the U.S., and they are going all out for the occasion! The British brand is launching a huge new range of products, including mascaras, eyeshadow, lipgloss, blush and nail polish. As always, the products come with amazingly low price tags and can be purchased at drugstores. More »

Ladies, year after year we stay pretty complacent in our beauty routines. We tend to always buy the same stuff and wear it the same way. Well, what if we did things just a little different?

We all know that the first step to flawless skin is a good skincare system. Skincare is a sore subject with most because some of us tend to forget to even wash the make-up off our faces at night, which can cause a whole host of other problems. More »

You probably have a routine for your makeup in the morning. Mine goes: concealer, tinted moisturizer, blush, eyelid primer, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara. And repeat. Given the often short amount of time that I have to get myself ready in the morning and my comfort level with the products that I already use, I pretty much give myself the same face every day. As I mentioned in my post about cleaning out your beauty products yesterday, I have about 15 different types of the same colors of eyeshadow and lip color because I know they look good on me. One of my resolutions this year is to go a little bit outside my comfort zone and spice up my makeup routine once in a while. More »

False lashes are fun to wear! The only problem is, if not applied correctly, it can be a total beauty nightmare.

It’s not easy to apply false lashes on yourself, so lots of practice makes perfect. The number one application point to remember is to never close your eyes when applying the lashes on. The glue will adhere to your eyelid and glue them shut. More »

And it’s not pretty. By now, you’ve probably all seen the pictures from People Magazine of Kate Gosselin’s hair extensions. I mean, you can’t really blame her for changing it up after the number of Kate Gosselin Halloween wigs that surfaced this year, but can we all just let out a collective “NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” right now? Good. I have to say that I’m not the biggest Kate fan out there… I feel badly for her through this tough divorce, and I feel even more badly for those poor kids, but watching her neurotic, controlling personality on TV makes me cringe a bit. The extensions make me cringe even more. More »

From Girlybubble: Since I live in sunny Southern California and have no real use for beanies or mittens, we thought it’d be best to provide an opportunity for one lucky GirlyBubble reader to win a Nirvana Designs panda beanie and mittens set. Damn you Southern California, must you be too warm to be wearing cute panda-inspired beanies and mittens?! More »

Pressed for time? Can’t spend hours getting ready in the morning? Fear not, in just four minutes you can have an elegant look by using just one product. Nars Cosmetics offers Soft Touch Eye Pencils that are perfect for quick out the door makeup without the rushed or thrown on look. More »

You’ll use that purple lipstick again someday, right? And that lash glue you bought on Halloween will come in handy next year too. If you are anything like me, you have a stockpile of beauty products taking up space in your home. I have what some of my family and friends like to call a “tackle box” (it’s a train case, really) full of makeup. I also have cosmetic cases and a desktop full of products that I see every day before reaching for my five standbys that never change. I think it’s time for a clean out, and here are some tips to help you downsize before you start revamping your look for 2010. More »

Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to get started on all of those pesky resolutions that you said you’d start working on in 2010. I’ve never been a big fan of resolutions because I’m terrible at following them. I will probably never eat less sweets, write a book, or stop procrastinating, so I might as well not even say that I’m going to. After doing some thinking about resolutions, I decided that I’d be more likely to follow them if they were actually something that I wanted to do. Something fun to do, like… play with my makeup more often! So, tune in to this week’s special as we show you ways to revamp your beauty regimen in 2010. Happy New Year! More »

I really dislike tattoos. Like, really. I’ve never seen one that I thought was particularly attractive, and my poor boyfriend can attest that I voluntarily forget that his ink exists. That said, my heart softened a little to the idea when I read the news that Chanel will be releasing a set of temporary tattoos in boutiques this March. Real ink is one thing, Chanel ink is another. Ok, so there seems to be a hair theme this week, and then there’s also this sort of annoying Lady Gaga theme that I can’t seem to get off of. I apologize, but here we go again. I was browsing YouTube this morning, and I came across this video done by a girl in Japan on how to make a bow out of your own hair! Don’t worry, the instructions are written in English too, so non-Japanese speakers can follow along. More »

Lorac Cosmetics, created by Celebrity Makeup Artist Carol Shaw, has a wonderful VIP Discount Program. All you have to do is register on their site. It’s that simple.

“Lip Polish” is a lip gloss in a cute little nail polish bottle. Normally, you would pay $ 17.50 for one, but for a limited time they are at a VIP discount price of $ 4.99. More »

Last night, CBS aired the 36th Annual People’s Choice Awards. Johnny Depp is still everyone’s favorite actor, and somehow True Blood beat out Gossip Girl for favorite TV Obsession (Impossible. I demand a recount!), but somehow I always find the red carpet looks to be more exciting than the actual award ceremony. Here are a few of my favorite beauty looks, and some of my least favorites from the show! More »

I posted a question on Facebook asking people’s all-time favorite blush products. Here are some of the responses I received back.

Alexander, a hair/make-up artist from NYC says he swears by “Heather” by La Femme Cosmetics. More »

You may have seen Penelope Cruz in the ads for L’Oreal’s newest mascara. I confess, I have a total girl-crush on her and I’d love to be as much of a bombshell as she is (with my blonde hair and see-though pale skin, I’ve accepted that this is probably not happening for me). I was excited when I received the L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara as a stocking stuffer this year, because at least if I can’t be tan and have a sexy accent, I might as well have luscious lashes, right?
