As you are probably well-aware, MAC scored big with this year’s Viva Glam collaboration by enlisting Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper as spokeswomen. They’ve already done the morning show circuit to promote the lipsticks which will be available March 15th. Every penny of the money you pay for a lipstick goes to the MAC AIDS Fund! Tomorrow, March 1st, Gaga and Ms. Lauper will be conducting a live interview from London, moderated by Sharon Osbourne, and you can watch it online! More »

For the most part, I don’t really wear too much makeup, but there are occasions when I want to get all dolled up. Although the ideal situation is to be putting your makeup on at home in your bathroom where all of your supplies are, it doesn’t always happen this way, especially when things come up. Instead of getting caught with a naked face, diversify your beauty supplies. More »

Concealer is a makeup product that is typically used to brighten under the eye area. However, it can also be used to set eye shadow and lip products too. It is used to cover any discolorations on the face and conceal broken capillaries in the skin, usually on the cheeks and around the nose area. More »

The first time that I learned about Mary Quant was in high school when a fashion-forward friend of mine lent me a book about fashion history. If you aren’t familiar with her name, you are definitely familiar with her fashion contribution — a little something called the mini skirt? Heard of it? Thought so. Mary Quant popularized the mini skirt in the late 1950s, and it was, needless to say, a huge trend through the 60s. She was also a beauty pioneer, launching her own line of affordable and colorful cosmetics with her emblematic black daisy logo. More »

The brand became a household name, and she finally was able to create the lipsticks that she had once dreamed of wearing! Read on to hear what Poppy has to say about being an entrepreneur and dreaming up products, plus get a hint at an upcoming Lipstick Queen product! More »

Last year, VH1 announced that they would be launching a series with Jessica Simpson called The Price of Beauty. Even though I was thoroughly annoyed by Jessica’s last TV attempt on Newlyweds, I am actually really looking forward to this show! The premise of the series is that Jessica and her friends travel the world to discover what ‘beauty’ means in different cultures. Sounds interesting, right? More »

I’m definitely all about preserving your skin, and I think it’s beneficial to start while you’re young and continue maintaining it as you age. I’m definitely not ready for Botox or other similar cosmetic procedures, but I do think microdermabrasion is a great starting point. More »

The smoky eye is a sexy look, but it involves so much eyeshadow and mascara. At the end of the night, the last thing I feel like doing is scrubbing my makeup off. It’s also not healthy for your eye area to be rough when removing makeup, but I’ve found a solution that works wonders on mascara! More »

Earlier this week my hair dryer decided to stop working. I guess it’s about time, because I’ve had it since I was in high school. However, I was hoping that it wouldn’t let me down any time soon since hair dryers can be so expensive. Fortunately, I found a stylish and efficient one for just $12.99! More »

Keeping your skin moisturized and hydrated is a full-time job. It’s beneficial to put a moisturizer on in the morning before your makeup as well as before bed when you’re skin is repairing while you sleep. Although creams you put on the outside of your skin provide nourishment and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, it’s just as important to monitor what you put in your body too. Don’t forget that the inside reflects the outside too. More »
