Nars Cosmetics Spring 2010 Collection

Nars Spring 2010 Collection has launched and it is to die for. When you enter their website, up pops an image of model, Amber Valletta. Her look is reminiscent of a sixties French actress. Her eyes are painted golden yellow from eyelid to brow, her cheekbones are perfectly sculpted, and on her lip a flirty but demure glossy pink shade.

This collection was inspired by Catherine Deneuve’s role as Lucille in the film “La Chamade.” The colors you see are soft, elegant and bright. There is an understated romance to French cinema, and François Nars was successful in capturing these elements and translated them into this wonderful makeup collection.

Highlights from the collection:

“Camargue” is a new duo cream eyeshadow just launched for Spring 2010. This product is a cream to powder eyeshadow that works both as an eyeshadow base and can be worn alone. The color is a golden mossy color and on the other side is a sienna brown.












“Easy Lover” Lip Gloss is a fuchsia pink gloss that can be worn alone or with another lip product. It’s a gloss, but is heavily pigmented too.














“Purple Rain” is a long-wearing chip resistant nail polish and is made to look freshly painted all the time.
