I’m a pro when it comes to the five-minute face, but it’s probably only because I’m not a morning person. Since I work out of my home most of the time, there is really no reason to get all dolled up. A quick makeup routine is also convenient if you go to the gym regularly or have to leave the house in a jiffy to pick up your dry cleaning. So how do you plan a five-minute face?

I keep a small beauty bag filled with my essentials: concealer, powder, blush, mascara and lip gloss. This is all I need to create a fresh, clean look. Just remember KISS (keep it simple, stupid–haha). You don’t need a smoky eye or lined lips to work out so skip those and go for the basics.

Once you get used to seeing yourself in the bare minimum, you will appreciate your natural beauty. As you get more comfortable, you can spend an extra minute focusing on your favorite features by adding a couple extra coats of mascara or choosing a brighter shade of lipstick or gloss.
