This morning’s issue of The Zoe Report (TZR), Rachel Zoe’s daily email newsletter, featured orange makeup. I thought it sounded a little kooky at first, but after thinking about it, I realized that I used to have a Clinique Mini Superbalm that was orange. It gave my lips a fun, alternative glow to the usual pink gloss.

Rachel talks about the orange trend that was on the runways during the Spring 2010 shows, including this look from Prada. Unfortunately, Clinique doesn’t seem to make the little orange balm that I loved anymore, but Rachel recommends products from Make Up For Ever. You could try the gloss in #2 (tangerine) for a more understated look, or layer it with the lipstick in Flourescent Orange 201 for a more intense look.

Would you try this look, or would you fear looking like a clown?

^ wow i’ve never heard of a lipstick raping o_0 glad to know you made it out alive XD.

i’ve been wearing orange makeup ever since i first started wearing makeup, of course its not as neon as the above picture. i’ve gone through about 5 orange and coral lipglosses and it goes so much better with my skintone than pink does. i also use this peachy coral eyeshadow as my daily makeup routine

Fun story… I was once lipstick raped by fifteen people. I don’t know how I managed to keep that orange lipstick off my lips, but it ended up everywhere else.

I’m not sure how orange lipstick would look with my skin tone.
