My WEN hair products came today, which is a day sooner than I had expected (I love when that happens)! Tonight was the first time trying them, and I’d like to share my experience with you.

I ordered the Lavender Volumizing 3 Piece Collection from QVC, and the scent is to die for so I can only imagine how amazing the other scents in the line smell.

As soon as I got into the shower, I rinsed my hair thoroughly. Then I began pumping the Lavender Cleansing Conditioner into my hand. One thing different about the WEN hair care system is that you use so many pumps of product depending on the length of your hair. If you hair is to your mid-back, it’s recommended that you use 48 pumps (12 per section). I know this sounds like a lot and my hair is not that thick, but the 16 pumps recommended for my short hair worked just fine.

At first, I’ll admit that it felt strange holding so much product in my hand. I felt like I was coating my hair in lotion or a thick styling cream. As I began to massage the cleansing conditioner into my scalp, I immediately felt invigorating tingles on my scalp. Oh, and the scent was soothing and calming too.

Once the cleansing conditioner was massaged into my scalp and covering all of my hair, I resumed my shower as I normally would and kept the product in my hair until I was all done. I forgot to bring a comb into the shower with me, because it’s suggested that you comb through your hair with a wide-tooth comb so I’ll have to try that next time (I used my fingers instead). I thoroughly rinsed the cleansing conditioner from my hair and honestly expected to feel greasy or oily. However, my hair felt silky and tangle free.

I also used the Lavender Styling Cream and Volumizing Treatment Spray before blow drying. In addition to be soft and silky, my hair was bouncier and more vibrant in comparison to when I usually style it. For once, more product equaled more volume (strange)!

All in all, I’m impressed and look forward to using it every day this week. I’ll let you know if the product continues to be so effective. Apparently, the more you use it and the longer you keep it in your hair, the better.
