The stunning eye makeup we see on our favorite celebrities always look picture perfect. They pay top whack for their personal makeup artists to keep them looking flawless for any movie premiere, award ceremony, music video or media event.
The application of liquid liner can be very tedious if you are not skilled and have a steady hand. They come with many different applicators like, pens, brush and felt tip. Each applicator does something unique too. Some dry down fast, others dry down matte, some look wet even after drying.
A common eyeliner looks people desire is the “Cat Eye Look,” or better known as the “Angelina Jolie eye.” Celebrities have been doing the winged eye look too. You can also achieve a vintage beauty look with the use of liquid liner. It’s really up to you!
How to use:
For beginners practice is essential to getting this makeup application done right.
The first thing to do is find a liquid liner that has an applicator you would feel most comfortable using, I recommend for beginners a felt tip applicator.
Have some liquid makeup remover handy, a tissue and q-tips very easy clean-up.
When applying your liner use a mirror that does not require the use of your hands, a wall hanging one is ideal.
Before application, wipe the excess liquid liner off the applicator. Tilt your chin up slightly and rotate your head when needed. Hold the applicator as if you’re writing and start in the inner corner of your eye. You may want to stabilize your hand on your cheek. As you draw along the lash line slightly rotate your head. You can also do this in sections while you are practicing to get better. Start in the inner corner, and then work the middle of the lash line and finally the outer corner.
Don’t worry if you’ve made a mistake, you can use make-up remover on a q-tip and clean up the little messes quickly before it dries. In addition, you can even apply darker eyeshadow over any mistakes you have made.
The key to this is to practice and be confident. You won’t get a perfect line all the time, remember it’s only makeup, it comes off.
