As soon as I saw the pictures from Cynthia Rowley’s Fall 2010 show, I immediately fell in love with the beauty looks. Sometimes your standard dramatic eye and red lip combination gets a little bit old, but I felt like this look definitely took the show to a really playful and unique level.
Makeup: I tend to really like makeup looks that focus on one element rather than doing up every last aspect of the face, and the MAC artists did just that by focusing on these killer lashes! The rest of the face was left virtually color-free, except for a light peach color on the lips. The lashes are just awesomely graphic in the way that they actually bend around the outside corner of the eye and flare out.
Hair: This seems to be a recurring trend across many shows recently (including Chanel) — unnatural colored streaks decorating the models’ hair. I personally love the way that it looks, possibly because I was a child in the 90s when hair mascara was still on the market (Jinra used to have a colored hair mascara by Dior!). The crimping is also quite reminiscent of my late 80s/early 90s upbringing.
