Serena Williams Trains to be a Nail Technician

Serena Williams, star tennis player, posted on her blog that she is doing 240 hours of training to learn how to be a nail technician! Her reason? “No one likes getting their nails done more than I do. As a matter of fact I go every 4 days to get a manicure and every 7 days for a pedicure.” Fair enough. Serena also has a line of nail products that she collaborated on with HairTech, so I guess she wants to be properly trained in case an adoring fan asks her for an impromptu mani-pedi.

In her post, Serena talks about her first day of class where she had to wear blue scrubs even though she wanted to wear pink ones. She also mentions that she bought all of her tool containers and a new backpack at the Hello Kitty store. I wonder if I can book my appointment with her now, or if I have to wait until she finishes the rest of her training!
