I’ve been spending the day researching natural beauty remedies since we are still in a recession. I also think natural beauty products will be soon become more mainstream anyway. I might as well get a head start on it. As a beauty professional, it is my job to stay on top trends and innovation.
After a few minutes of google searching natural beauty remedies, I found a simple to use cucumber mask recipe on a website called naturalfaceremediesforlife.com, I wanted to share it with you all. Why should we try natural face remedies? The answer is simple, it’s good for you that is a given and it’s a whole lot cheaper too. Two good reasons to try it!
Why is cucumber used?
It’s hydration, so if you suffer from normal to dry skin, this is for you. It also soothes skin from irritation, so it will also work on normal to sensitive skin. Cucumber is a natural coolant, relieves sunburn and prevents water retention too.
Major cosmetic skin care brands already use cucumber extracts in their products, so why not go straight to the source with less fillers!
Cucumber Mask Recipe:
Ingredients needed – 1-2 cucumbers, surprise!
How to do it:
Before you start put the cucumber in your fridge for a few hours to let it cool down. Then you can put cucumber slices on the dry skin or grate the cucumber and apply this to the skin. Another option is to cut the cucumber into pieces and put it in a blender. Mash it up real good… and voila cucumber mask…or drink, whatever you feel like
Spread the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck: keep the eye area clear
Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 30 minutes
Then wash it off with cold water; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer, this way you “seal” your skin to keep the water inside.
