Bring Your Hairstylist Home — Hair Room Service

I got an email this week about a new company called Hair Room Service, which is a service that allows you to book hair stylists and makeup artists to come to your home (if you call New York home, that is) and gussy you up. As if the fact that we can order takeout at any time of day wasn’t good enough, now we have delivery hair stylists! At first I thought to myself, “I’m not busy/important enough to need someone to come to me!” but then I thought, “I’m a blogger, and I work from home so why should I leave home if I don’t have to?”

Perhaps one day when I can afford for one of the lovely celebrity stylists to come to my humble abode, I will. The prices aren’t all that bad compared to salon prices in New York, but still a little steep for me. A haircut will run you $125, and a blow-dry is $85. I get my hair cut for $50 in Brooklyn, but I had to do some good hunting before I found a place that was equally awesome and affordable.

On second thought though, this service would have been a lifesaver for Jinra and I this past week as we trudged through the snow to go to the fashion shows. Maybe next season we’ll have to call Hair Room Service!
