French Chic Beauty

This video is by no means new, but I just found it when doing some internet browsing a few weeks ago. It’s an informational video about how to be chic like a French woman, and something about it made me wonder, “is this girl for real?” Watch as she demonstrates how you can be as chic as the French.

Try not to be too puzzled as she tells us to buy clothing a size too small and heels that make us incredibly uncomfortable, and get to the “Make Up” segment where she tells us the most beautiful thing on a woman is, “Passion. And a bit of blush.” She informs us that eyeliner on its own is fine, but eyeliner and eyeshadow? “Stinks of effort.” And goodness knows, we don’t want anyone thinking that we put effort into our appearances, right?

She does have a good point that less is often enough, but I’m not so sure I subscribe to her description of French Chic. It all seems a little too pre-packaged to really be French style, which in my opinion tends to be sort of unique. What are your thoughts?
