The ability for anyone with the technological wherewithal to create and sell iPhone applications means that sometimes the apps end up being really weird. Apparently Hour Face is one of the top apps in Japan right now, and its entire purpose is to show you what you’ll look like when you are old.

I don’t exactly fear aging, because it is the natural progression of life, but I don’t necessarily want to know what I’m going to look like with wrinkles. Using this app, you upload your photo and the program turns it into a 3D image. Then, you just watch as time elapses and your face becomes wrinkled and spotted. Somewhat amusing, but probably not very accurate since some people age better than others! Would you pay $1.99 to add some wrinkles to your virtual face? I’ll pass!
