What Kind of Eyeshadow Do You Prefer?

I really love playing around with different eyeshadows. It’s one of the easiest ways to spice up an outfit and change your look. I was thinking recently about all of the eyeshadow that I have accumulated over time, and what my staples are.

When I was in high school I used a lot of Urban Decay products, which tend to contain a good amount of glitter. My boyfriend tells me that after meeting me for the first time, his dad’s first comment was, “she had sparkles all over her eyes!” Yep, I was a glitter girl.

Now, I tend to shy away from glitter. When I was younger I think I could get away with it during the daytime, but now I find that chunky glitter looks a little too young on me for everyday (sigh… gone are the days of my youth!). I still prefer a shimmery eye over completely matte colors though, so now I use a lot of shimmery orange-pinks that aren’t glittery, but rather shimmery.

Right now I’m using a color out of one of my Tarte boxes, but you can get a similar shade from Bourjois called Beige Rose.
