When you’re working on a beauty story with a great team with time restraints, the last thing you need is eye liner creasing off the models eyes. There’s nothing more embarrassing then having photographer come in to shot a close up of the models eyes and the eyeshadows have disappeared or worst, creased up into an oil spill. Not only would you have to re-do the work, but also you hold up an entire team of people.
The everyday consumer doesn’t put much thought into priming the eyes because they feel that it’s too much work. Yes, it can feel that way, but what if I told you that without a primer you are just wasting precious time and more make-up because you’re constantly reapplying it throughout the day?
To avoid such nightmares, I recommend that you prime the eyes with an eyeshadow primer first before applying makeup. By priming the eyes, your eyelid area will be smoother and eye makeup will last longer throughout the day. It is also a fact that your eyeshadows will blend better when a primer is used.
Primers come in different textures and applicators; I prefer to use a small concealer brush for quicker application and smooth even results.
It would take less then 20 seconds to apply if done correctly. So, don’t be lazy ladies!
