I’m an advocate for acupuncture, because I receive treatments on a regular basis and this therapy has helped me in more ways than one. At first, I starting seeing an acupuncturist for stress relief about two years ago…finishing college and planning your future can cause anxiety! However, in addition to stress relief, it’s time that I take for myself to relax and get away from human drama, which we all need to do at some point or another. Little did I know that acupuncture can also be used for reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles!
I’m actually not surprised that acupuncture can rid your skin of wrinkles, because it has a long list of health benefits. According to an article on WebMD, a Colorado acupuncturist saw results in individuals who went to a series of 10 treatments. Basically, the needles help to increase collagen production and elastin. As a result, your skin becomes plumped up and refreshed.
I would say that cosmetic acupuncture is the perfect solution for individuals who don’t want to go under the knife to rejuvenate their skin.
