Another week, another country for Jessica Simpson and pals. This week’s episode of The Price of Beauty showed their journey to India, where they continued their quest to find the meaning of beauty. First up, they visit a Bollywoood studio where they learn a dance — Jessica and CaCee can’t really seem to get it right, but Ken is totally into it and swinging those hips.

I find the “spa” experiences in this show sort of funny, because Jessica always expects them to be relaxing, when in reality there are a lot of beauty rituals that are not relaxing at all! In this episode, they try out the neti pot, which is used to clean out the sinuses and apparently to improve the skin. For those not familiar with neti, you pour salt water in one nostril and it comes out the other! Even though the group acts like this is something totally new, you can actually buy a neti pot at most U.S. drugstores.

After they gift an Indian child with a cleft palette with a surgery through Operation Smile, they get ready to go to a Bollywood party. Part of this process is getting henna on their hands, which I don’t think is really all that foreign in the U.S. anymore. I found it sort of funny that in the shots of them at the party, there is definitely still henna paste on their hands. I guess they didn’t have enough time to do it the day before the party or something! I also just have to point out that it was sort of ridiculous that Jessica was awkwardly carried in to the party by four men on a curtained recliner. I guarantee you that nobody else at that party arrived that way, and if I’m not mistaken that’s actually something that is traditionally done at Indian weddings. Oh well, always make an entrance I guess.

All in all, nothing too surprising in this episode. It did reaffirm my strong desire to visit India one day though! Watch the full episode at VH1.
