The Makeup Show NYC just announced an exciting roster of celebrity artists and beauty industry leaders who will be presenting at the 5TH Annual Makeup Show NY, May 16-17, 2010 at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 125 West 18th Street, NYC.

The Makeup Show co-founded by the Powder Group Metropolitan Events in 2005, is a beauty industry must-go to every year since conception. It is where all beauty professionals and students come together to learn, inspire, create and network amongst each other. Celebrity makeup artists Charlie Green, Joanna Schlip, Tegan Taylor (Avatar), Louie Zakarian (Saturday Night Live), and a rare appearance by Make Up For Ever creator Dany Sanz will be presenting in keynote series this year.

Keynote Series Line-up:

Charlie Green has been rocking the beauty world for twenty years, working on celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Milla Jovovich and Penelope Cruz. Green plans to give us insider tips from working with top photographers, models, celebrities and magazines including GQ, Vogue and much more.

Louie Zakarian is the creative forced behind some of the most memorable characters created on the T.V. Show “Saturday Night Live” for over sixteen years! Zakarian will take you behind the scenes and shed some light on the work he does at SNL, along with demonstrations of his key techniques used to create the classic parodies we have seen on the show.

Artist, Tegan Taylor is the mastermind behind the creative work on films like Avatar and Disney’s A Christmas Carol, the upcoming The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis’ Yellow Submarine. Taylor will talk about “The Age of Digital Makeup” from the era of digital film to the process of working in digital makeup and how it has affected her work. Taylor will discuss skills to understanding makeup application, technology, and character effects.

Celebrity Artist Joanna Schlip will do an awesome keynote on “Red Carpet Beauty,” which will give us a glimpse of her amazing career. She will share with us her secrets, tips, tricks and techniques to flawless longwearing makeup in both video and in person. Her celebrity client list includes, Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Simpson, and Christina Applegate.

Creator and Artistic Director of Make Up For Ever, Dany Sanz will make another rare appearance at the Makeup Show and will head up two hands on workshops: “Makeup Beyond Beauty” and Master Workshop “Exploring the Avant-garde”.
