Despite the world’s obsession with Blake Lively’s golden tresses, her Gossip Girl co-star, Leighton Meester, has signed a deal with Herbal Essences as their new global ambassador.

I’m not exactly sure what her duties as global ambassador will entail, but I’d imagine that she’ll probably be featured in their print and perhaps TV ads. I wonder if she’ll have to do one of the classic “oooh yes!” Herbal Essences commercials, like the one below! I can’t wait to see what they come up with!

Also, have you seen that Ms. Meester has gone with a lighter color that is closer to her natural blond lately? I have to say that I prefer her with her dark Blair Waldorf hair. I think it makes her features really pop!
