Job interviews are not fun. It can be nerve racking deciding what kind of impression you want to make with your clothes, hair and makeup. To be safe, make sure your entire look is natural, relaxed and confident.
Universal job interview beauty tips:
Make sure your hair looks neat and well groomed with no crazy colors. It may help to pull it back in a ponytail or casual up-do.
Don’t do a bright colored nail polish. Play it safe with a simple classic clear or French manicure. Also, make sure your manicure is normal length. There is nothing scarier than a long pointy finger.
Makeup should be simple for interviews. I suggest foundation to make the complexion even in color. Also, I suggest wearing minimal eyeshadow. Try using a neutral palette of browns, beiges and nudes. Follow up with a few light coats of mascara.
A sheer natural blush or tinted blush will work. However, keep in mind, contouring of the face is not necessary. Just add a light wash of color over the apples of cheeks.
Lipstick can be worn on the lips. Stay within a nude, or pink or peachy sheer lip gloss or lipstick. You do not want to distract the interviewer with bright, shiny lips.
Win the interview with your personality.
Good luck!
