Remember those crystal tattoos that you used to be able to buy at Claire’s? Maybe you can still buy them there… it’s been a while since I frequented that store. Anyway, there is now a trend credited to Jennifer Love Hewitt called Vajazzling, which is the art of decorating below the bikini line with Swarovski crystals. Uh, what?

First of all, the name is a little misleading. They don’t actually crystallize waaaaaay down there — just the pelvic area. There are a bunch of videos on YouTube that show the process, which is again sort of just a peel-and-stick decal. It’s offered as an add-on to waxing services at Completely Bare spa in New York. I’m not sure what the cost is, but you can order the decal to do it at home for $25, so I’d imagine it costs more than that to have them do it for you. What do you think of this trend? Cool or totally bizarre? I personally think it’s a little tacky!
