Ascent Beauty iPhone Application

Finally, someone to tell me what my signature fragrance is, minus the fragrance counter. WWD reports that Aramis, an Estee Lauder brand has create an innovative iPhone application, called Ascent that helps you pick out the perfect fragrance to fit your personality.

They will ask a series of personalized questions and calculate suggestions based on the answers you give. I guess if you hate shopping at department stores, this may be the next best thing. I’m a believer in trying before buying. However, if you’re the gambling type, maybe letting someone else decide for you might be a whole lot more fun. The only draw back is the suggestions Ascent will make will only be from the Aramis fragrance family and hopefully bringing in the Estee Lauder scents at a later stage.

The application will debut in the U.S. at Nordstrom later this month.

I will try it out for myself and let you all know what to expect. I am quite picky with my fragrances; I like sweet, floral, fruity scents. Escada is my favorite brand, but let’s see what Ascent says…stay tuned!
