Stila just launched a cool trio of shimmery neutral eyeshadows. The It Girl Palette ($10) consists of a metallic butter/gold tone (Lamé), shimmery nude pink (Kitten) and metallic bronze (Chloe). Since soft, natural eyes are back in style, here is an easy to follow beauty tutorial to help you get the “It Girl Look” in five simple steps.
Step 1: Prime the eyes with an eyeshadow base first. By doing this your eyeshadows will blend better and will avoid creasing throughout the day.
Step 2: Apply Lamé all over the lid from the bottom of the lash line, working the color softly up to the brow bone. Use a patting motion to get the most color on the lower lids and then switch up the technique using a sweeping motion to blend the color softly up to the brows.
Step 3: Apply Kitten using the same packing or patting technique to get the most color in the lower lids. By doing this, it gives the eyes more dimension. The base color is usually very light and stands out too much.
Step 4: Using a blending brush or a crease brush sweep, Chloe just in the outer corners of the crease area. Bring it over as much as you want to get a more contoured effect.
Step 5: Follow up with your favorite liner on the top and bottom lash line. If you want to highlight the eyes more, use either the Kitten or Lame just in the inside corners of the bottom lash line. For a smokey look, line Chloe underneath the bottom lash line.
