Product Review: Mixer by Geri G Cosmetics

At the New York Makeup Show last week, I met the very sweet and very smart Geri Giagnorio. This woman knows pretty much all there is to know about skin — she is a licensed aesthetician and makeup artist, and now she develops products as well! She let me have a sample of her Mixer product to try, and it has snuck into my daily routine!

Mixer is a product that you can mix with pretty much any other cosmetic product to enhance it. It has a signature ingredient called Nanomarine-5 that Geri developed herself that is packed with nutrients that are supposed to keep your makeup fresh and hydrated during the day. This is actually true — I like to mix mine with my under eye concealer, and I’ve noticed that I barely get any creasing under my eyes anymore!

The product itself is a white cream that has a little bit of shimmer to it. You can use it alone on your skin as a moisturizer, but I like to mix it in with my tinted moisturizer too. Geri showed me how you can use a little bit of the product mixed with a powder eyeshadow or blush to make it a cream, or with a lip color to make it smoother.
