This has got to be like the third time this month I’ve received a promotion email from e.l.f for $1.98 shipping for minimum orders of $20 or more (Use the code JUNE198 by June 14). Maybe it’s a sign.
I never take up on their shipping deals because I don’t want (or need, for the matter) 20 new additions to my make up collection– yes, because most of their products are only $1 for the most part. I’ll tell you now, I don’t care much for their eye make up, powders, or glosses. For those of you who would like to take advantage of this event, here are some recommendations if you need help deciding what you want.
$1 Nail Polish
Pros- easy application, vivid colors, durable, formaldehyde free, vegan-friendly>Cons- sometimes the colors aren’t dependable (they don’t match the site colors and certain colors are streaky– stay away from Black, Light Pink, and Mod Mauve) and you have to grapple with the bottles (they’re hard to screw back on)
Their Spring nail polish colors (Innocent, Desert Haze, Smoky Brown, Lilac, and Mint Cream) have been receiving a lot of attention lately. Check out Ticteuk for amazing swatches.
$1 False Lashes
Pros- lightweight, natural-looking for the most part>Cons- incredibly terrible glue

Their Natural-Lash in Black/Brown is well-received.
$1 Shine Eraser
Pros- 50 sheets infused with Green Tea Extract for only a buck>Cons- you have to use at least 2 to become less shine-tastic if you’re like me, hideous packaging

$3.00 [Studio] Powder Brush
Pros- the brush is made anti-bacterial, synthetic-haired Taklon, it’s soft and dense, absorbent, and can be used with wet or dry products>Cons- by chance, you may receive one that sheds

Happy shopping!
