Two days ago, I received some samples from emerginC’s Scientific Organics skincare line (more specifically, their Kombucha Cleanser, Phytocell Cream, and Phytocell Detox Mask), and you can bet I threw away my normal cleansing routine to try these new products out. If you’re a green person, emerginC is definitely a name you should be keeping in mind as their company is all about natural ingredients and environmentally friendly actions.

I started by washing my face with emerginC’s Kombucha Cleanser. The cleanser itself is a clear transparent gel that you have to work into lather. I was expecting a soapy, sudsy lather, but instead I found myself with a milky-white, no longer clear version of the gel. As soon as I applied it to my face, I was hit with a wave of awesome citrus scent. Let me say that again: this thing smells awesome! I can’t place my finger on the exact scent, but think citrus and yum-yum-yummy. After washing it off, my skin felt squeaky clean and fresh.

After the Kombucha Cleanser, I tried on their Phytocell Detox Mask. I’ll admit I was a bit startled by the forest green-ish color, but as soon as I applied it onto my face, I didn’t care anymore because surprise of all surprises, it smelled even better than the cleanser! The best part was, I didn’t have to wash it off right after application, so I spent a good 15 minutes inhaling in the citrus-iness. Once I applied the mask, my face felt a bit warm, and I took that to mean that the detoxification was in process. The directions say to wash it off after 10-15 minutes, which meant this was not one of those peel off after everything dries kind of mask, sadly. The mask was still a bit wet when I washed it off, although certain areas had already dried up.

It was saddening to wash the mask off, but I soon moved on to their Phytocell Cream, a white cream that was on the thicker side of the lotion spectrum. This cream is something I wouldn’t recommend for the summer, but an absolute must once the cold weather starts biting at your cheeks. Because it’s a rather thick cream, I only used half of what was given in the sample, which was more than enough for me. Although it didn’t smell anywhere as good as the Kombucha Cleanser or the Phytocell Detox Mask (which is a shame because the Cream is what stayed on my face that night), the Phytocell Cream definitely works as the next day, my skin was noticeably softer and brighter.

Conclusion: emerginC Scientific Organics. Best smelling products ever.

If not for anything else, you guys should definitely try these for the scent. I would personally recommend the Phytocell Detox Mask out of the three I’ve shown you, but why don’t you check out the entire line here to see what else they have in stock?
