Concealer is a female’s best friend, as it is known to cover all blemishes and give you a full and flawless complexion. However, you may not know, it can also be your worst enemy. If not used correctly it can leave you looking older than you should. Hence, to counter these, you should know your correct skin tone to enhance your overall appearance and makeup application experience.

Myth
My foundation can double as a concealer.
Fact
It is recommended to always use a separate concealer formulated for the eye area due to sensitivity and varying colouring. Keep in mind that not all foundations are ophthalmologist tested which means it can irritate the eye area, especially if you do not follow the precautions.

Myth
I can use one concealer shade for both blemishes and under-eye circles.
Fact
You should have two different concealer shades. Acne, pimples and various forms of breakouts are usually red in color, so a yellow-based concealer will blend perfectly around these blemishes. Using a cream based concealer will also give you a fuller coverage.

Myth
I apply under-eye concealer with my finger for full coverage.
Fact
You should always use a concealer brush to apply concealer especially under the eye area. The brush will also allow you to reach the inner corner of the eyes and can also give you a fuller look.
