When it comes to BB Cream (blemish balm cream), I consider myself a BB Queen. As much as I’d like to think that my people (Koreans) invented the stuff, they didn’t. In fact, it’s been around much longer than the term ‘BB Cream’ itself. The reason why I’m so sure of this is because when you strip away the pretty, girly packaging, the celebrity endorsements and the Youtube beauty guru praise, it is, and will forever be, just tinted moisturizer at the end of the day. No more, no less.

Here’s a checklist of characteristics of beauty products that are BB Creams in disguise:

- Typically Named “Tinted Moisturizer” (Duh.)
- Offers an SPF
- Less than $15 at drugstores, $40 at most if purchasing from a department store
