Spring’s big news include candy and pastel hues. So you can look sweet yet trendy with ice shades as seen on the seventies inspired spring/summer catwalks.

Max Factor supreme Caroline Barnes has created a punchy pastel look for you to try at home. Follow the step.

Step one: Start with a natural, light reflecting foundation. Use a blush, apply it to your cheeks apple with your fingers, right to the top of the cheekbones.

Step two: Begin to add color to your eyes, padding max Color Effect Mono Eye Shadow in Vibrant Mauve over the entire eye lid to create an eye catching hue.

Step three: Sweep a violet color over the eye, with the eye showing a “c”, as a contrast against your mauve. Then sweep this under the eye’s lower lashes.

Step four: Mascara can frame the eyes so use two coats to dramatize your look. Go on – don’t be afraid!
