Seven-year-old girl Samantha Shaw received plastic surgery not too long ago. Now you may be shocked as to why she got this.
It’s not for beautification purposes. Samantha was born with cupped ears, meaning her ears are more prominent and thus are a target for bullying. And it wasn’t coming from children; it was also coming from adults, who said she had “monkey ears” and that her ears were gross. So her parents allowed her to get plastic surgery for her ears to prevent any type of bullying she may encounter from her schoolmates.
Her parents were also afraid that she wouldn’t have as much self-confidence for her age because of ears. Samantha also wanted to get surgery, so they flew to NYC to get the surgery done. Now, she loves her ears. However, the number of children getting plastic surgery has gone up 30%.
If your child had Samantha’s condition, would you have them get plastic surgery?
