When it’s hot, everyone knows how to apply some sunscreen on our faces and body to ensure we don’t peel too much, but what about our hair? Well, to keep your hair well-protected, check out these tips.
1. Add SPF: There are some sprays that come with a little bit of SPF, such as the Sun Care Protective Hair Veil from Aveda and Color Protect UV Shield Spray from Victoria’s Secret.
2. Rinse and repeat: Use Keratase’s Bain Apres-Soleil shampoo if you have colored hair and have been out for far too long. Not only will it soften those sun-exposed strands, but it will also help to repair.
3. Cover up: Use some form of pretty scarf or headband to protect your hair and at the same time, give yourself a cute fashion statement.
4. Get rid of grease: Don’t use too many products that have many gels, oils, and sheens. That’s a big no-no for your hair and will result in burning and drying.
