Heidi Klum is expanding her talents from modeling and hosting into a new field, perfume. “Shine” is the name of her first fragrance and will be available this September.

The scent is described as having notes of pear, pink peppercorn, and mandarin at the top; mimosa absolute, sunflower, and lily of the valley at the middle; and Venezuelan tonka bean, vanilla, and musk cosmone at the drydown. Whew! But it sounds pretty and really pleasant.
When interviewed about it, Klum responded,

There are different moods that, as a fragrance creator, you can travel to.

But for my first one, I wanted what I felt my staple would be. I wanted it to be sensual and feminine, but still luxurious and expensive-smelling — because I think there are so many perfumes out there that smell cheap and too sweet.

The design for the bottle is created with a circular wavy pattern that matches the sandy backdrop for the promo ad.

Plans for a second version, called “Summer Shine” is already in the works to come out next year and a third one after in 2013. Seems like she’s really determined to fully make a name for her new venture.

Thoughts?
