After discovering the existence of the China Glaze’s Crackle Glaze edition, I instantly fell in love with the “funky” deconstructed designs and knew I had to order my own. Confidently, China Glaze can be considered as being equivalent to O.P.I, possessing merely the same editions and fluency. Depending where you are located, a brand like China Glaze can be quite difficult/pricey to find but the results will be satisfactory!
In every aspect, these varnishes ooze with urban mod appeal. Pretty much, these bundles of goodies are just definitely up to your luck. Every application results in a different magical design that is nothing but short of brilliant!
China Glaze Crackle Glaze, Black Mesh is much similar to O.P.I’s shatter line and make great substitutes for each other. The line does pretty much everything that the company promotes it to do, “This innovative technology creates a deconstructed crackle design over your favorite shimmer, glitter or crème nail lacquer. The look is edgy, creative, and makes a bold statement.” I am more than happy with the results and would definitely recommend this to any nail guru! It looks great for any occasion and adds an “ommpf” into your daily nail designs. It illuminates a professional nail art look that can be achieved at a nail pedicure store when really it doesn’t cost your merely $10!

[A comparison of packaging between a normal China Glaze and China Glaze Crackle Glaze edition]
The packaging is much like from any other China Glaze product which of course disappointed me. This was the predominant downfall to the product as this could easily be mistaken and passed for any other usual black polish. In comparison to the OPI’s Shatter packaging, I would of much of preferred it better but for every good product there must be a downfall right?
The consistency was quite thick much like a crème, hence like the instructions state, only one layer is needed. To be honest, this is my first applying a crackle nail polish and the application was really easy making it perfect for every rookie.
By implementing a lighter undertone as a base under the Black mesh, it gives an instant pop, where both colors do not overwhelm each other. I matched it up with NYC’s Sliver Bullet and Chanel’s 515 Pêche Nacrée and the aftermath was phenomenal (The photos do not do justice!)! According to how you apply, the thickness and the base color, it will enable you to achieve a range of results, so pretty much the results are endless!
In regards to it’s longevity, it varies. Depending on how well your top coat is, the black mesh crackle will be prolonged. I actually tried leaving the black mesh on without a top coat and it didn’t even stay for 2 hours! Hence, as recommended after applying the black mesh, a top coat MUST be applied!!
China Glaze Crackle line takes the history of nail polish to a whole new level and the formula is just great. It produces an edgy vibe with a sweet touch of femininity in addition to the gleaming finish. You will be the center of attention with these nails, attracting an endless flow of compliments as I experienced myself. China Glaze’s collection has an array variety of colors. Despite not having tried the other colors, I definitely recommend you guys to invest in one, considering the gorgeous results of black mesh. Despite my love for these bad boys, I don’t think I will be able to get my hands on the other colors, $20 a bottle hurts my wallet way too much!
Furthermore, China Glaze has also recently released their new line of metal crackles and from what I suspect, it would be equivalent as good! With that said, it doesn’t stop you guys from getting one. For US residence, China Glaze currently stands at $10US a bottle on average but can be found much cheaper in a range of participating retailers. Let your imagination run free!
