A lot of my inspiration for new makeup looks revolves solely around whatever is the lip color du’ jour. From there, I imagine the eye colors that would compliment the lip. As it’s summer, I’ve been on a peach-kick. This particular look I’ve come up with pits (get it, pits?) peach and brown together. While it sounds like a disgusting combination, I’ve found that it’s actually quite nice. Trying out this look was also a great opportunity to test out Sephora’s Nano Eyeliner in Black Midnight.

According to Sephora, the Nano Eyeliner, “glides on smoothly and comfortably, creating a lovely line of color. Shea butter and rosemary extracts make this formula soft and easy to work with.”

Here is what it looks like:

A heart-shaped swatch on my wrist:

After a day of wear, I found that Sephora does deliver on its claims. It’s long lasting, highly pigmented and soft. Due to it’s softness, the eyeliner is smudgeable and a great candidate for a smokey eye. My only complaint with it, is that it’s hard to come off unless you’re using an oil-based makeup remover. For its price at $5, it’s certainly a great deal. Now, feast your eyes on the eyeliner in action as part of my Peach & Brown look:

And the full look:

(Why yes, yes that is my finger hovering over my phone’s camera lens.)

To achieve this look, I used:

- Missha BB Boomer Cream
- Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream
- Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sinner
- Benefit Erase Paste Concealer
- Revlon CustomEyes #5 Eyeshadow in the 035 Smoky Sexy Palette
- MAC Eyeshadow in In Living Pink
- MAC Eyeshadow in Courage
- MAC Eyeshadow in Shroom
- Armour Lip Gloss in Ann-Margaret
- Sephora’s Nano Eyeliner in Midnight Black
- Maybelline Great Lash in Blackest Black

After prepping n’ priming my face and eyes, I applied two layers of Missha’s M Perfect Cover BB Cream for foundation-like coverage. Using a paddle brush, I applied In Living Pink all over my lids, then took an angled brush to the Revlon eyeshadow and made half-moons starting from the corners of my eyes. Following that, I used the paddle brush again and applied Courage to the the area where the Revlon eyeshadow and the In Living Pink eyeshadow meet — then I blended. I don’t recommend using a paddle brush to blend, but it’s all I have at the moment. I’m living proof that you can use just two brushes to apply eyemakeup. After blending, I used Shroom eyeshadow as a brow bone highlighter then lined my eyes and applied mascara. To finish the look, I applied the Armour Lip Gloss in Ann-Margaret to my lips.

Surprisingly, this only took me 15 minutes to accomplish! If you’ve got any questions or suggestions about my look, let me know in the comments below.
