Despite the fact that I’m getting enough hydration and no matter what season it is, my lips are always dry and not-so-smooth if I don’t take proper action. Although I have myself a routine that includes using Lush’ Bon Bon Lip Scrub and Aquaphor, I’ve recently turned to Missha for its The Style Deep Peeling Lip Scrub. After all, can you go wrong with a product name that describes itself as ‘Deep Peeling’?
Missha’s The Style Deep Peeling Lip Scrub is, well, a lip scrub. Unfortunately, Missha doesn’t quite make claims about it’s product, nor does it really offer a description. I’m guessing it’s because you can’t get any more straightforward than, “Deep Peeling Lip Scrub.” The product comes in a small pot that’s about the same size as Lush’ Lip Scrub. It is gel-like in consistency with grains intended to exfoliate your dead skin from your lips and smells like a yummy peach. Application is also straight forward — put some product on your finger and rub your lips. Tissue off the dead skin that comes off, then follow-up with your usual lip treatment product.

After a few tries, I’ve concluded that it’s not quite as effective as my Lush Lip Scrub. The Deep Peeling Lip Scrub took some elbow grease and a lot of harsh rubbing to actually get it to work. One reason this may be is because the grains in the scrub are so sparse! Whereas with Lush’s Lip Scrub, you only need to gently rub your lips for the dead skin to come off.
My recommendation for a good lip scrub still stands behind Lush’s Lip Scrub. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend Missha’s The Style Deep Peeling Lip Scrub.
