Review: Josie Maran Argan Oil Color Stick in Rosy, a multitasking cheek and lip color

Something about the Summer makes us lazy when it comes to our regular beauty routines. This Summer we’ve seen a fair share of multitasking 2-in-1 lip and cheek products, such as Josie Maran’s Argan Oil Color Stick in Rosy. Ever a fan of things that help you multitask, I naturally gave it a try.

As you can see above, the Josie Maran Argan Oil Color Stick looks a lot like a fat, flattened lipstick. Unlike lipstick, the Color Stick can be applied on your lips or cheeks (or both). It goes on your lips like a smooth, tinted balm. To apply onto cheeks, just dab into your apples and blend it out. That’s basically half your face, done — if you were going for a natural look. ‘Rosy’ does indeed live up to its name, when applied it gave both my lips and cheeks a rosy glow. In addition to being the beauty item for lazy people (me), the Color Stick has Argan Oil. Argan oil originates from Morrocco and is said to be jam-packed with vitamin E with great moisturizing properties. For those with oily skin, rest assured — Argan Oil actually helps in controlling oil.

My only qualm with this product is that it didn’t last long after a single application. For me, the color started fading after a good 3 hours. This, I feel kind of defeats its purpose of being the product for the lazy. Overall, I would only really recommend the Josie Maran Argan Oil Color Stick to those who are new to makeup. The color payoff is natural and if the feeling of wearing makeup for a long time bothers you because your new to wearing makeup –this product is for you.
