Vienna, such a pretty name, not to mention I want to visit that city someday. The pictures I’ve seen look gorgeous… Anyway, back to the main focus. Buxom offers quite a selection of Big & Healthy Lip Sticks, but I chose Vienna to try out. Let’s say the shade attracted me the most.

I received the travel sized version of the lip stick. Here is what has to say about this product: “Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick works three full-time jobs—it defines the shape of lips like a liner, fills them in with creamy velvet color, and then plumps them to their full buxom potential. It’s a three-in-one lipstick that’s quick and convenient for defined, colorful, buxom lips anytime, anywhere.” In the formula, there are no parabens, sulfates or phthalates.

The stick is small and easy to carry around. The cap pops off, and you twist the lip stick up for use. That part is covered when the cap is on so that it doesn’t twist up while resting among other items in a bag.

Swatch… in dim lighting:

Just like “buxom” means healthy, plump an cheerfully lively, this lip stick made my lips look plumper. Not that my lips NEEDED to look any bigger, as they already are plump enough in my opinion. The tingling sensation after application was too strong for me, even more minty-ish than Burt’s Bees. (Don’t lick it either, it’s kind of nasty…) I endured the feeling, because the color looks rather nice. It is a lilac pink which turned my lips some shades lighter than their original color, but doesn’t look unearthly or anything. I mean, they’re quite matte. It definitely can work as a lip liner, though the tip of the travel sized one has a short lifespan. The regular sized one of 0.03 oz includes a built-in sharpener though. The texture is quite creamy, though not too much. It wouldn’t work too well on dry lips, so having them somewhat moisturized is a plus in making the effect nice. After a few hours, the lip stick wore off only a bit. When I wiped all of it off, my lips felt soft. As for the tingling, it lasted way longer than what I would have liked. The scent, oh my goodness. I don’t even know if I can describe it accurately. Um, let’s say it’s like a strong waxy vanilla? Please forgive me for my choice of words. I rather dislike the scent, which goes along with the tingling.

I would not purchase this product for $18, due to the reasons I just went over. Though the color is lovely, I would not want to go through the tingling and/or smelling it again. My lips are pretty sensitive, so this might not be an problem for some others. For the scent, some might love it. That is due to personal preference.
