After weeks of wearing bold nail colors, I thought I’d lighten up my nails for a change with Sephora by OPI Nail Color in True Romantic. On the outside, True Romantic looks like a soft pastel pink as you can see above. The description details the shade as a ’sheer cool light pink.’

Sheer is definitely the right way to describe it. Here’s what it looks like on:

It took 3 coats of nail polish for color to show up. Now, I was well aware that the color was supposed to be sheer. Unfortunately, when you apply it sheerly, it looks streaky — I had no choice but to layer it on. Layering it on only made it look more of a nude pink rather than a cool pink. Not really what I had in mind for that color when I was looking at it still in the bottle.

As for longevity, the nail polish lasted me a good 5 days as per usual.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend because it goes on streaky.
