While applying things with your hands can get quite fun at times, it’s not necessarily the most practical thing to do all the times - especially when you don’t have a sink to wash your hands afterwards. So, when I got an opportunity to try out this Lancome Foundation Brush, I was quite eager to try it because it would mean that I wouldn’t have to apply it with my hands as often.
Here’s what Lancome claims about it’s foundation brushes:
The art to flawless foundation application is easy with this precision-crafted tool that’s made with only the finest materials, this allows for a smooth, natural finish every time, anywhere. Provides even coverage of liquid foundation for a picture-perfect finish.
Featuring quite a plain appearance, the Lancome Foundation Brush actually does more than what it looks-it applies liquid foundation quite nicely without streaking (yay!). It’s extremely soft and silky, so much that I liked feeling it before I used it.
A plus side of using a brush is that you actually need less of the product than what you would need if you used only your fingers because a brush can control a lot more of the product at once and make it a lot more even.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this product as it saves a lot of messy fingers, a lot of product, and a lot of time because of how easy it is to use it. I haven’t seen any of the hairs of the brush fall out as of yet, and I’m pretty sure it isn’t going to fall out as it is quite a high end product.
The brush also survives falls if you’re scared of seeing cracked plastic handles. The only downside of the brush is that it costs quite a bit (due to the fact that it is a high end product and brand), but if it lasts quite a long time, I believe it’s a good investment.
On a side note: don’t try this with powder foundation or mineral foundation as it doesn’t pick it up very well, it is formulated to be a liquid foundation brush in the first place.
Score: 5/5
