Eyeshadow is something that I usually reserve for special events, going out for shopping or those mornings where I actually have enough time to put a little extra on, but seeing how pretty Sephora’s Colorful Mono Eyeshadow in Choco Excess 19 was, I was intrigued with the product and wanted to try it out for myself.

Sephora’s Choco Excess 19 shade is a very beautiful dark chocolate with silver glitter making it so that it’s still quite a neutral shade, but with a hint of glitter to bring sparkle to your eyes.

It is also formulated without parabens, which means that it’s safe for sensitive skin. Here’s a swatch of the colour on my arm (the other strokes beside my darkest swatch on my arm are just my attempts of getting the powder off of my finger):

I found that it wasn’t as pigmented as I thought it would be with one stroke of either the finger or the brush, but it is buildable-you just need a little more effort. It also doesn’t crease at all throughout the day unlike this eyeshadow. If you wanted to blend the product, it is quite easy to do that too because of how fine the powder is. The glitter does tend to get in a lot of places though, as glitters usually do. If you like glitter all over your face however, this might be perfect for you.

Overall, I like the eyeshadow, but I think if I were to repurchase this particular product, I’d purchase it in a matte finish instead of a shimmery glitter one as even just a tiny tilt of the case can cause a glittery finish on your hands and clothes. I love the fact that its crease-less the most and that it lasts with the same colour throughout the day. I just wish it was a tiny bit more pigmented.
